Mission of Public Safety
The mission of the DeKalb County Public Safety Office is to provide the highest quality public safety services to the citizens of DeKalb County, Georgia. William Z. Miller is the Director of Public Safety which is made up of the following departments: Police Services; Fire Rescue; Animal Services and Enforcement; 911 Emergency Communications Center; DeKalb Emergency Management Agency (DEMA); and the Medical Examiner's office.
