Diamond Miller Lewis

Diamond Miller Lewis is the Director of DeKalb County Television (DCTV), Channel 23.  Diamond has worked in TV news for nearly ten years.  Her background in journalism includes anchoring and reporting for local TV stations; working for ABC’s award-winning newsmagazine program, World News Tonight with Peter Jennings in New York; and directing and producing various TV commercials, public service announcements and diverse media programming in both the Atlanta and New York markets.

Diamond received an M.S. from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism and a B.A. from Spelman College.  She co-founded Columbia University’s chapter of the National Association of the Black Journalists (NABJ).  She is also a member of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS), National Association for Multi-Ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC), Atlanta Association of Black Journalists (AABJ), National Association of Telecommunications and Officials (NATOA), Columbia University Club of Atlanta, and Golden Key International Honour Society.

DeKalb County Television (DCTV) is a 24-hour government access station available to all Comcast Cable subscribers in DeKalb County on channel 23.  Taking government news directly into the homes of county residents, DCTV illustrates the Ellis Administration’s promise to remain a transparent government body.  The “go to” source for all DeKalb County news, DCTV operates under the goal of ensuring that every DeKalb stakeholder is informed about the services of county government and the reason DeKalb is a premiere place to live, work and play.  Programming includes, but is not limited to, emergency actions, Board of Commissioners’ meetings, special proceedings, community events, and news broadcasts.
