Dale Phillips
Dale Phillips serves as the Director of the Human Development Department for DeKalb County where is responsible for the development and implementation of policies and priorities to service the needs of families, individuals, youth, and senior residents of DeKalb County.
Dale brings more than 15 years of local government experience to this role and has held several positions during his tenure with DeKalb County including Budget and Management Analyst and Director of Court Services for the DeKalb Juvenile Court. Prior to joining DeKalb County in 1996, Dale worked as a Budget and Management Analyst with Broward County’s Office of Management and Budget in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Dale is also a member of the American Society for Public Administrators and the International City Managers Association.
Dale received his undergraduate degree from St. John’s College in Annapolis, Maryland and a master’s degree in Public Affairs from the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas in Austin, Texas. Dale is also a 2002 graduate of Leadership DeKalb.
