To manually submit applications open and print the blank form and complete on paper and bring or mail to one of our offices by the required times on/before the close date. Users may also type their data directly onto the electronic form for use in e-mailing to DeKalb County Human Resources, and for saving and printing his/her own copy of the typed application form. Please note that applications submitted electronically will not have a signature at the time of submission. Applicants who apply electronically will be required to sign their application prior to accepting any employment offer.
The employment application uses the Adobe Reader software. To ensure best functionality, we recommend you use the latest version of Adobe Reader which can be downloaded free by clicking HERE.
Application packages may be obtained in person at either of our two offices or you may request that one be sent to you in the mail by calling (404) 371-2332 or writing the Decatur office.
Application materials are not sent nor accepted via fax.
Be sure to identify the job number, as well as the title of the job requested, to ensure proper processing of your application. Items surrounded by a red box on the application form are required so you must complete these before the system will allow you to email the application to DeKalb County Human Resources. Supplemental forms are required for some positions however, they are not required if your application is submitted electronically. If you are contacted for an interview, supplemental forms will be provided to you at that time for completion. The DeKalb Employment Application form must be completed in its entirety or your application may be disqualified. Résumés will not be accepted in lieu of the official application or supplemental forms. Résumés may be attached as additional information but will not be used for evaluation purposes. Education is accepted only from institutions
accredited by agencies recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or CHEA (Council for Higher Education Accreditation). Offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of a physical exam, background check, and completion of all required paperwork.
