Job Duties:
Under general supervision, provides support to Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS) clients in any of the following programs: Temporary Assistance for Needy families (TANF); Food Stamps; Child Care; and TANF-related Medicaid. May also coordinate and/or perform eligibility determinations and other related activities associated with Medicaid benefits for the aged, blind, and disabled. OR Assess the employability needs of individual clients in caseload, identifies resources to meet client needs, identifies and removes barriers to employment, and otherwise facilitates client employment. At least 1 year full-time (or equivalent part-time) experience as a Social Services Case Management Associate.
Qualifications:
Completion of a high school or general equivalency diploma (GED), AND one of the following: Completion of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university OR completion of 90 quarter hours (60 semester hours) at an accredited institution of higher learning AND two years of full-time (or equivalent part-time) work experience which involved customer contact/interaction as a regular part of the job OR Two years of experience at a level equivalent to Family Independence Case Management Associate or DFCS Economic Support Screener in DFCS, or equivalent social service agency (for example, in another state is a similar organization) NOTE: Experience may substitute for education on a year for year basis, if evaluated as equivalent. The high school or general equivalency diploma is required.
